
Dave Henderson is a Team Leader responsible for all commercial mortgage loan production east of the Mississippi River. His team's responsibilities include the underwriting, negotiation and closing of new loans for both the General Account and Securitization programs of John Hancock.
Mr. Henderson joined John Hancock in 1997 as a Senior Investment Officer with responsibility for the origination of commercial mortgage investments in the Midwest. In 1999 he was promoted to Team Leader.
Mr. Henderson has been involved in commercial real estate finance for over 20 years. He has extensive experience with a wide array of property types, financing structures, and capital sources including income property, for-sale real estate, construction and permanent lending, project finance, and both portfolio and securitized lending. Before joining John Hancock in 1997, Mr. Henderson was with Fleet National Bank for 18 years where he spent approximately 15 years as a commercial real estate lender. Most recently Mr. Henderson worked in the Bank's Corporate Finance Department where, as a member of the Sports Lending Team, he concentrated in project financings of professional sports arenas and stadiums throughout the United States. Some of the projects Mr. Henderson financed included the Fleet Center in Boston, the MCI Center and Jack Kent Cook Stadium in Washington, DC, the Tampa Ice Palace, and the Marine Midland Arena in Buffalo, NY.
Mr. Henderson is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board's Real Estate Finance Association and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. He received his BA from Merrimack College, Andover, MA, and his MBA from the University of Rhode Island.
